Emergency Food

You can call or text your zip code to  1-800-548-6413 to find local emergency food providers.

You can find a food bank near you using the 211 telephone number, the county community action (some links are provided previously, by calling the Salvation Army, Sait Vincent DePaul, and local churches.

Safe Haven/Safe Surrender - Newborn

Parents can surrender unharmed newborns without fear of prosecution Hospitals, Police Stations, EMS stations or Safe Haven Baby Boxes.

The National Safe Haven Alliance operates a call and text hotline for anyone considering a safe surrender.   888-510-BABY (2229)

​

The child will be examined and then the Children and Youth office in that area will take custody and be tasked with finding the child a loving home
